Decorated soldier Warrant Officer Class 2 Gary O'Donnell from the Royal Logistic Corps was killed by an explosive device in southern Afghanistan on 10 September, 2008.
Gary was serving with 11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal Regiment in the Helmand province. The team he was commanding were clearing a route for another battle group near Musa Qaleh when one of the mines exploded.
Gary will be sadly missed by all his friends and family.

Well as you know BC is back in the land of the sand, hes was off to visit viva lash vegas when i spoke to him, wont be the same without you but i know you'll be by his side, seems like your little venture out there is still going strong with a few additions and upgrades, you'll live on forever Gaz, a legend xxx

well the time has come for BC to return to the sandpit once more, we had dinner together last week and he delighted in telling us of all the escapades you two got up to there and building viva 'lash' vegas lol, apparently its still there with a few up grades !!! inknow he misses you so much and im sure he'll find it hard to return without you, watch over him for me matey.

well Gaz, as you know we have planned a golf day, BC suggested we name one of the trophies after you, the hole in one !!! sure theres a joke there knowing you two , just kidding, he said its because you were one in a million, Toni is coming along to present it, so make sure the sun shines, hope you and christopher have been taking note of whats being planned and no playing any jokes on us !!
